All you’ll see is your beautiful timber deck
How is nail free decking made possible?
Using grooves in the side of your decking boards, the attachment of your timber decking is done using specially designed ‘biscuits’ that sit in the edges of the board, without the need for screws or nails in the top surface of your decking.
These nail free solutions can be provided by using pre-grooved timber supplied by Deck-Max, or using your own timber with our special kit, which enables the required biscuit cuts to be made in the side of your boards. You can the discuss the options by talking with our decking specialists.
Why Use Nail Free Fastening For Your Decking?
- Stronger fastening
Repeated testing has confirmed that the Deck-Max secret fixings provide an attachment that is 400% stronger than surface fixing. The patented design, provides superior fastening strength, achieved through a larger area of attachment in the sides of the board, enabling greatly enhanced load bearing capacity.
- Better in years to come if you want to resurface
When traditionally re-sanding a timber deck, the biggest issue is trying to avoid the nails or screws holding it in place. If you don’t have any surface fixings in your deck, resurfacing your deck becomes both easier and more effective. Imagine in 7 or more years down the track, being able to bring your deck back to a brand new finish without having to replace a single board!
- Avoid the risk of cracking boards
When installing your deck, hammering nails through boards can sometimes lead to cracking, making your board unusable. Now you can eliminate this risk, along with the risk that future movement in the deck over time could later cause cracking.
- No more raised or popped boards
The pain of tripping over a raised or ‘popped’ board is hard to forget. Why not prevent the problem from ever occurring and install a nail free deck, with decking surface that remains delightfully smooth and level.
- It just looks a whole lot better
Let’s face it, if you’re going to be outside enjoying your deck for years to come, why would you want to be constantly reminded of the screws or nails holding it in place.
Why not go nail free with Deck-Max and give yourself the maximum enjoyment and lifespan of your timber deck?
